This article will look at an example of how the home function works in DrufelCNC.
Home function can operate on sensor home or using soft limits.
If you want the home function to work on the home sensor, then be sure to configure the input port of the home sensors.
If you want the home function to work with soft limits then activate soft limits.
In order to configure the home function, you must:
1. Go to the "Machine size" tab
2. Activate the direction of movement of the axis with the home function "To min" for the X, Y axes. Do not activate both functions "To max" and "To min" unnecessarily.
3. Set the search order to home position. For this there is a special setting "Home order". With numbers you indicate the order of execution.
4. Set the speed of movement. For this there is a special setting “Speed, mm / min”.
5. Save settings.
6. For the test, set the values for the X, Y axes in machine coordinates:
X = 30
Y = 30
7. Press the button "X Y Home".
8. Function home moves to the max or min position of the axis until the trigger sensor Home or Limit (depending on the setting soft limit and home port).When the home sensor is triggered, movement will start in the opposite direction until the home sensor returns to normal.
